Meet The Team

Welcome to St Hilda’s College. We were formerly known as the sixth form but felt this did not recognise the ethos of what we are about. I aim to give all of our students the opportunity to develop themselves for their next journey, whether that’s a degree apprenticeship, employment, training or Higher Education.

All students in the college, follow the academic pathway that is right for them.  Every student will have a programme that is tailored to their needs consisting of Level 3 qualifications, PSHE, tutorials, academic mentoring, Core RE, Work Experience and Post 18 assemblies. Students who have not reached a level 4 or above in GCSE Maths and/or English will be required to undertake further study for these subjects with the aim of passing them at a level 4 or above by the end of Year 12.

I am supported in my role by:

Mrs Elizabeth Maher , who is the KS5 Aspirations and Achievement Coordinator. She is in charge of the tutor team and the academic mentoring programme, she also looks after the High Achievers Programme, supporting students to reach their potential and raise aspirations. Mrs Maher makes sure that all of our students are supported in their Post 18 aspirations, she gives to our students on both academic and pastoral matters. She helps me to organise the key events in college, and regularly organised trips for our college students.

Miss Paige Doran, is College Student Support Coordinator , She is responsible for monitoring attendance within college, acting as a point of contact for parents/carers and supporting all of our students on their journey, both academically and pastorally.  Miss Doran  also oversees the administration of the college and works closely with the team to deliver all of the college events.

I am very proud to be the Head of a diverse and exciting college where all students are supported, encouraged and nurtured to be the best they can be.
